Ingredients
Mutton - 1/2 kg
Liver - 375 gm
Oil - 1/2 cup
Onions(sliced) - 2 cups
Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Cloves(Grambu) - 8 nos
Cinnamom(Karugapatta) - 3 pieces
Cardamom(Elakka) - 6 nos
Tomatoes(chopped) - 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper corns(Kurumulaku) - 1/2 tsp
Aniseeds(Perinjeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
(broiled and powdered)
Green chillies - 1/4 cup
(cut into round pieces)
Grated coconut - 1 1/2 tbsp
(coarsely ground)
Preparation Method
1)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai and saute` onions followed by ginger and
garlic pastes.
2)Add spices followed by tomato.
3)Sprinkle turmeric powder.
4)Add meat, pepper corns and aniseed powder and salt.
5)Pour required water and cook till meat is well done.
6)Add green chillies.
7)Mix coconut paste in a little water and pour it into the above gravy. Let it simmer till the gravy becomes thick.
8)Add liver cut into one inch squares.
9)Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
10)Let the gravy thicken and cover the meat and liver pieces.
