Kerala garland making tips
Make a number of mini-bouquets about six inches tall--each one
a bunch just big enough to hold in your hand.
Wire the bouquets end to end on a long piece of vine, if you have
it. If not, use honeysuckle, ivy, or even rope.
Place one bunch halfway over the last bunch, and wire on at the
stems with 22-gauge paddlewire. Wrap the wire a couple of times
and pull it tight, as shown. Then, move on to the next one.
When the garland is as long as you want, finish it off by making
the last bunch turn the other way--stems to stems--and tucking
its end in to the other flowers.
Place the kerala garland on the mantel,
or on more novel places, such as along a counter in the kitchen,
on top of a mirror, or even over the toilet tank to "add
serenity" to the bathroom.
